Our Story

Welcome to The Dirty Bee Flower Farm. We are Arlene and Derrick Schuppener and together we operate our family farm in West Kelowna BC.

In a world where phrases like "change is good" and "there is no time like the present" are often echoed, many of us continue with our daily routines, relegating our passions to mere hobbies or dreams. However, when life was nudging us toward change, urging us to embrace a new path, we listened. And for us, that’s when everything changed.

Amidst the upheaval of a global pandemic, we made a bold decision to bid farewell to our former careers and embark on a new journey together. We chose to transform our passion for farming, flowers, and hospitality into our life's focus. As a result, The Dirty Bee Flower Farm was born.

At The Dirty Bee Flower Farm, our mission is simple yet profound: to cultivate lasting, healthy, and beautiful flowers through efficient, and sustainable farming practices and to continually focus on the beauty and joy that our harvest delivers.

Join The Dirty Bee Flower Farm on an unforgettable journey through our blossoming world and embrace the transformative power of change.

We are not open to the public for "pop-in" visits or tours. We are a working farm with a very small crew (often only one or two people), and our days are packed with urgent seasonal labour that we cannot put on hold. Our farm is also our home, and we value our privacy.

All visitors must have a farm ticket, be registered for a workshop, have a flower pick-up arranged, or must have otherwise confirmed their visit with us.

We appreciate your understanding.
