How it Works

At The Dirty Bee Flower Farm, we've made picking flowers a delightful experience – with a few directives to help you along the way.

Picking Hours: Our flowers bask in the sun during the day, so we've reserved Wednesday evenings from 5 pm – 8 pm and Saturday mornings from 8 am – 11 am for your picking pleasure. Changes to these days/times will be noted on our ticketing platform.

Booking Your Spot: Secure your spot for You-Pick Flowers Experience by purchasing admission online once the season starts. Admission is date and time-specific, ensuring everyone has ample space and time to enjoy. A maximum of 6 tickets can be purchased for one time slot. For groups larger than 6 people see our “Private Picks” or contact us directly.

In the Field

Getting Started: Upon arrival, please park in the designated area and follow the signs to the You Pick Gardens. Resist the urge to skip to the flower garden – our insurance agent prefers low blood pressure! Instead, join us for a brief overview of our flower selection and proper cutting techniques. Feel free to bounce with joy at this point – we won't judge! Don’t forget to bring your ticket to be scanned for entry.

Picking Your Blooms: Armed with a picking bucket and snips, venture into our flower fields and let your creativity bloom. Just don’t run with those snips! From greenery to focal flowers, there's something for every bouquet enthusiast. You will find a beautiful selection of blooms that will vary through the season. Don't worry about feeling euphoric – it's a common side effect!

Variety: Our You Pick gardens are designed for picking a variety of blooms to make bouquets. For bulk purchases or bunches of specific varieties, just give us a heads-up in advance so that we can ensure availability and provide current market pricing.

Additional Offerings We will often have additional selections from our specialty gardens available for purchase by the stem for a small premium. You can also have your masterpiece arranged, hand tied and wrapped. Bring your flowers home in your own container or purchase one of our pretty picking buckets or a hand painted mason jar to display your bounty when you return home.

After Picking: Once you've gathered your floral treasures, head to our Welcome station to tally up your selection.

What to bring (and what not to bring)

  • Your pre-purchased ticket, a container for your flowers, bug spray, sunscreen, gloves (if you prefer) and practical footwear (heels are not permitted as they can damage the garden floor).

  • Pets (except service animals and please contact us ahead of your visit), food (see private picks for options), or a potty mouth (we're all about family-friendly fun!).

  • To keep the flower-picking fun in full bloom, please read and abide by our on-farm policies:

    • Young persons under 13 are admitted free, however, are not permitted to cut flowers on their own. This is for their protection and the care of our flowers. Our young guests are always welcome to enjoy the flowers and our farm experience with an accompanying parent to assist them. Your cooperation is appreciated.

    • We limit entrance to the field to those who have purchased admission and accompanied young persons under the age of 13. Adults and young persons (over 13) who are not picking, must pay the $10 admission.

    • Parents, please keep an eye on your little ones and keep them close – we wouldn't want them getting lost in the flower fields!

    • Handle our blooms with care – no yanking or pulling, please! Please use the snips provided to cut one stem at a time and follow the harvesting directives to avoid damaging or halting a plant’s production. In some cases, we will charge for damages.

    • Please look before reaching into flowering plants. There are insects and /or thorns on some plants and flowers.

    • We're a working farm, so expect a bit of mud, some uneven ground and flying, biting or stinging insects.

    • You may get a buzz or two from our friendly bees. Please do not swat or kill our bees. They work hard for us and are generally not interested in you if left alone.

    • Be sure to tag us in your floral selfies. Should you wish to make our flower fields a backdrop for professional photos, however, please have your photographer contact us to make the appropriate arrangements in advance. Private shoots can be booked.

    • The use of drones without prior consent and accompaniment is strictly prohibited.

    • If you have a serious allergy to anything that may be present on a farm, please notify us. Also, please tell us if you, or anyone in your party, are carrying an EpiPen. We would feel better being able to help you. There are no EpiPens here at the farm.

At The Dirty Bee Flower Farm, your flower-picking adventure awaits – come, let's make some memories!

Our farm is both our home and our livelihood. This has been a labour of love for us and we are pleased that you chose to visit us. Please be respectful.
