CSA Terms and Conditions

Our flowering season keeps us busy tending to the needs of the farm and our weekly schedule is critical to our operation.  Our subscription service and the assigned pick up days are part of our overall operational flow at the farm.

  • We will email our subscribers with forecasted season start dates and pick-up days/times as the season progresses, and we can better forecast the start of blooming. From there, you can select your preferred subscription start depending on the number of weeks you have.

  • While we control every process on our farm carefully to ensure the best harvest for our planned season, there are some seasonal pressures that, can impact the growth of a crop. We promise to do our best to provide you with a bountiful share of premium flowers each week. The number of flowers, however, may vary from week to week due to optimum or extreme weather, insects, or other production factors despite our best efforts. If we are unable to meet our high standards for bouquet quality, however, we may re-assign a week to a future date for you or provide additional blooms to future weeks. Your contribution to our success deserves our best.

  • Contact us if you would like your CSA share unarranged in a bucket. (flower arranging is fun!) OR if you would like to come to the farm to pick your own flowers. We also welcome our subscription holders to schedule a visit to tour the farm if you wish.

  • Weekly subscriptions are picked up at The Dirty Bee Flower Farm or one of our remote locations in Kelowna and Peachland on the assigned day as noted above.

#1 – The Dirty Bee Flower Farm – 3420 Turnbull Road, West Kelowna

#2 – Kelowna Remote Pick up – 1939 Kirschner Road, Kelowna (Pendozi Machine Shop)

#3 – Peachland Remote Pick up – 5830 Beach Avenue, Peachland (The Edgewater Pub)

  • We understand that the summer season is a time for many people to travel and we do not want any planned absences to reduce your subscription enjoyment.  When possible, we ask that you receive your flowers consecutively for the number of subscribed weeks. If this is not possible, we will gladly work with you to fulfill the number of weeks in your subscription within our 12-week subscription offering.

  • Once scheduled, we regret that subscription pick-ups cannot be rescheduled in the same week that they are due.  They must be picked up. If you are not able to pick up your flowers on your assigned pick-up day, please send us an email or text (250) 575-1573 to provide us with the name of someone who will pick them up for you.

  • If you forget to pick up your subscription, we will assist you in correcting this the first time with a convenient replacement. Unclaimed subscription bouquets, when they happen, will be donated at the discretion of the Dirty Bee Flower Farm.

  • When you sign up and pay for the respective season it is non-refundable. However, unforeseen circumstances occur and nobody wants to see flowers go unloved! You can transfer any portion of your subscription to a loved one, to a friend, or have us donate the remainder of your share to bring the warmth of flowers to senior citizens in our community

  • We attend to our flowers with a priority for optimum cutting times, cleanliness and consistent hydration. We focus on efficiency in getting cut flowers to cold storage to ensure the best quality and longevity for our customers. A freshly picked bouquet will include many different varieties which, if properly cared for can last from 4-7 days. If you find a problem with your flowers within 24 hours of receiving them, please contact us and include a photo and we will correct the problem and, if required, replace them for you complimentarily, the first time. If this happens repeatedly or you consistently experience less than average vase life, we may need to look into the care and handling of the blooms to make sure you are getting the expected quality from your flowers. Your confirmation email will include detailed instructions for the proper care of your fresh-cut flowers. Flowers are living things and, with good care, your flowers will age gracefully, as we would all like to do!
